How long after kittens start walking do you give them water and cat food?

Arla

I have 3 little kittens that are about a month old now. they are getting around and playing more everyday. is this a good time to introduce them to cat food and water? or are they too young? i dont want to make them sick.

It is never too young to introduce a kitten to water and food. What I mean is it is always a good idea to allow it access to it. By putting out more water and food, you are helping mom cat, and she really appreciates that, and if the kittens are ready, they will investigate. If not, no harm done at all. Hopes this helps,

Dont worry about it! When they are ready they will do the same as the mother.

Chara

Um, let them see their mother eat. eventually theyll catch on.

I think the best time is around 4-6 weeks so ur right on track..start first by giing them.25 of wet food and make sure its a good brand like organix or science diet so its easier on their tummies the first time and also mix it with a little dry food as well
