What is the best brand of canned cat food to feed your cat? Along with how many times a day you should feed them? If its 3 times a day, How many times should be dry and canned? Should it be two times of canned cat food and then only once of dry cat food? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I dont think theres a *best,* but heres a few great brands:Wellness http://www. wellnesspetfood. comSolid Gold http://www. solidgoldhealth. comInnova http://www. naturapet. comBlue Buffalo http://www. bluebuff. comNatural Balance http://www. naturalbalanceinc. comFelidae http://www. canidae. comChicken Soup http://www. chickensoupforthepetloverssou…Merrick http://www. merrickpetcare. comFelidae and Chicken Soup are the cheaper ones. Some people will say ALL wet is essential, but in my [non veterinary] opinion, a mix of dry and wet is just fine - wet food is necessary for hydration. My cat gets 3 oz of wet food and 1/4 cup of dry food a day - sometimes Ill switch out one meal for some raw food. Shes fed twice daily. Ordering from http://www. petfooddirect. com can save you a few bucks every month.

Id say 1/3 of 1/2 a cup of dry food twice a day. Dont give your cat too much food, or they can develop diabetes. Then you have to pay for all those shots, and it just becomes stressful. Lazy cat + paying for shots + FAT cat = stress, unless youre really tough. The shots arent too cheap. If your cat is fat already, put him/her on a diet. Hope I helped! ;D

If there is a FREDS, a kind of dollar store, they have cases of shredded cat food that I use. I have 6 cats. They are healthy and their coats shine. I also feed them 3 times and I add half a cup of dry food with the canned. The cans are not labeled and are in cases only. I use Walmart brand dry food.

Most cats are nibblers. so having wetfood out all the time i think is wasteful, plus too much of it can give them bad breath, gum disease and toothaches..plus cats sleep alot, so you have to watch out for their food intake. No one wants a fat cat no matter how cute they are. my suggestion, use dry cat food, and small portions of wet at night. I feed my cat purina cat chow, about 1/3 of cup, 2x a day, in the morning and evening, and a teaspoon of wet food at night. her weight stays about 11-12 lbs for the past 4 years. My weight.. not so good..lol
