How do i stop my cat from stealing the neighbours cats food?

Buffy

My cat is growing into an obese slob! He keeps stealing the neighbours cats food and they are beginning to get annoyed! (Fair enough!)

Irwin

If your cat is an outdoor cat and the neighbors cat is fed outside, there is no way to keep it from stealing the food. Unless the neighbors feed their cat inside, or you keep your cat inside, your cat will always have access or at least the chance at access to the other cats food. Even feeding your cat regularly so hes not hungry will not do the trick. If your cat likes the food they serve, he will always go over there to eat it whether hes hungry or not. Especially if hes doing it as a competitive thing (to keep the other cat from having it).

Easy, ask them to move theirs and then move yours, and if your cat still manages to find it all you need to do is make sure your cat isnt hungry

Peggie

When I used to feed my cat outside, I fed him, watched him eat, then put the leftovers away. It was just common sense, after all, I didnt want to attract racoons and other wild animals in the area, or other cats, so if it really bugs your neighbor that much, thats what he needs to do.

Floyd

Either convince your neighbour to feed the cats inside or keep your cat inside. Thats all I got.

Celeste

There may be no way to stop that. You could try changing your brand of cat food to the brand your neighbor has, just in case.

Gus

Feed your cat what your neighbor is feeding their cat, your cat apparently likes whatever brand of cat food the neighbors are using.
