she actually found me in my building she was a homeless kitten the super had a big cat that had a liter but he didn't took care of them, Took her to the vet and they gave me bunch of medicines for hershe even had the drontal pill and I wanted her to drink water but she never did I kept thinking maybe she's dehydrated since she still doing diarrhea i fed her the friskies canned food and i read that cats don't drink water when they eat canned food??that just doesn't make sense so I bought her kitty kibbles from purina and she finally drank water!!i hope she starts to poop normal if not, I know I'm suppose to take her back to the vetbut why didn't she drink water before?? can some explain that ??

Hi..I just recently (2 days ago) bought an 8 week old kitten from the local pet shop. The sign on the cage he was in stated "8 weeks old, wormed, and first shots..Health not guaranteed". Yes, I know, that should have sent up a red flag, but I couldn't help but buy the little guy and bring him home. At first he was very energetic, very playful, ate well (dry Purina Friskies Surfin' and Turfin' Favorites) cat food, and drank plenty of water. Last night I begin to notice that he is only drinking water, but not eating..at all..and still hasn't ate anything today. He has no energy, and just lays around. What could be wrong with him?*And on a side note, to all who read this, I do know what most of you will say, "Take him to a vet"..I already know this, a vet is very expensive, so if i could maybe get an idea of what may be wrong with the little guy, and try all I can before I have to turn to a vet. Some positive advice on this matter, would be very appreciated.
My Kitten won't eat..?
I recently had my cat diagnosed with diabetes after witnessing higher water intake , weight loss , and increased urination. I have switched my cat to a diet of Friskies Turkey and Giblets 5.5 oz. cans 1 and 1/2 cans a day spread out to 3 servings a day. Since switching to this diet my cat has increased his weight (healthy weight) and stopped drinking heavily. Urination seems to be less but is still more than my other cat. Vet suggested Purina DM but this dry cat food is far to expensive and after reviews of food for diabetic cats decided on the above cheaper food. Are these good signs. Vet recommends a visit for tests to regiment insulin. Should I do this expensive visit (300$) or go with the flow since symptoms are getting better?

I have a 13 week old kitten and a 6 year old cat and i know for sure the kitten eats the cat food and the cat sometimes eats the kitten food and I'm not home all the time to watch them like a hawk so they dont do this. my mom wont make sure they eat their own food. theres no way i could do special feeding times so Im forced to find a food they both can eat. the cat eats purina one now and im switching the kitten from friskies, the food the chick i got him from gave him, to purina one kitten food. The food would have to be at a meijers or kroger or other grocerie store like that or at petsmart or petco. and ive had the kitten since halloween and the cats still dont get along. the big one growls and hisses when she sees or smells the little one. when they fight, its over in 2 seconds whren the big one bats at the little one. no worries, she doesnt have front claws (not my choice) and she's not aiming to hurt him, just scare him. he still stalks her though. what should I do?
Is there a food both my cats can eat?
So, long story short, I've been babysitting my mom's cat for three months. She agreed to purchase the cat food and litter if I watched him until she could find an apartment. No problem. So, he has his own diet and I slowly introduced Purina Cat Chow, the food my cat is eating. He seemed to like that better anyway. Well, my mom stopped buying cat food and we can't afford it all the time, so we buy the small Purina Cat Chow bags from Rite aid. Well, they were out one night and I had to buy what they had because the cats had no food. So, I bought Friskies indoor formula. I gave it to them for just a week and my cat was fine on it. Then when we had a chance to go out again, I bought a big bag of Purina Cat Chow. My cat is fine. She's not sick or anything. My mom's cat has been throwing up for 4 days now. Of course he waits until we've been out all day and it's set in the carpet!!! GRRR. He seems to be drinking a lot of water, but then again i'm not sure how he was at my mom's house, so I don't know if that's normal. He'll eat and then several hours later throw it up. He did have a brother, who died from a urinary problem. So, I'm not sure about that. My mother hasn't suggested taking him to the vet. She's writing it off as a digestion issue because we changed his food once. So, IDK...
Why has my cat been puking and what can I do?
I have tried different types of canned food. Zoey eats kitten chow by Purina she is 10 weeks old. I feed her Friskies or Fancy Feast pate' only, the other makes her hiccup & sometimes gag. I don't get selection in my dinky town store. I heard Diamond brand dry is good? The store sells it, its just $5.00 higher priced! She is playful. She is currently being treated for roundworm. She vomited 2 eww.. I can't handle the word! I see them slinky long worms in my thoughts. ewwwShe was an outdoor born kitten. mother kicked her out of the next at 5 weeks cause thats when I took her in.. she is adorable, semi-long haired golden cat.. 90% gold kittens are male. She is also a Virgo, 90% of them are white. :) Zoey is a rare gem. thanks for your advice

Hello. I'm researching better food for my cats. They currently eat friskies wet food and purina dry food. I'm pretty sure friskies isn't the healthiest cat food out there. My cats eat it, but I don't think it's satisfying them because they always seem hungry. I heard a lot about Blue Buffalo products, I'm wondering if anyone uses this and if it's #1 for cats. Or if anyone knows other food that's healthier..let me know.-Thanks

Which cat food do you recommend most? Purinna indoor cat food or Friskies Indoor cat food? I am trying to put my cat on a more stable diet. I am not sure which is best. Everyone jokes around saying that she is fat which I don't really think she is. I am a little conserned about her health. Not sure if being a little overweight will cause any problems. I'm just curious, with all the research that's been done on cat nutrition and what certain pet food companies actually put into their food, why are people still feeding their cats crap food? Whiska's, Fancy Feast, Friskies, Royal Canin, Science Diet, Medical, Purina, Nutro and Iams are some of the worst possible foods you can feed to your cat. I used to, then I actually looked at whats in it, and what "by-products" are. Pet food companies are legally allowed to use euthanized animals (yes that's right, cancer infested kitties with their collars and all are thrown into vats) They're also allowed to use still born animals, and road kill in "by-products." And these same foods usually consist of 50% or more of grain. Any grain is a filler, cats can't digest them at all, they're really hard on their system and just end up causing health problems.....I mean why is it now the norm for cats to have diabetes, allergies, kidney failure and so many other diseases compared to say 50 years ago? So i'm just wondering why people are still feeding these foods?

i'm from Pakistan and i want to order Purina Friskies.. my cat eats nothing else.. i've tried a variety of other available products and home made items, but all she wants is friskies..i can't find friskies anywhere in the market.. they say that their order has not reached yet.. so i have no option but to order it myself....even though it'd be expensive for me.. but anything for my cats..i browsed petdirect. com but i don't know if they ship to Pakistan or not...please help also if you know where to find the lowest rates. thank you very much. lolz Jimmy.. but persian and siamese cats are very common here in Pakistan..they are bred and sold just like anywhere around the world.. other varieties are rare..i am a proud parent of a siamese and a snowshoe =)
