What brand of cat food do you feed your cat?

Ayana

I have a new turkish angora cat am going to pick up tommorow. What brand of cat food do you feed your cat. It cant be exsesively expensive like science diet or royal canin. Sumthing you can buy in your local supermarket or pet store. Not too cheap like a savon osco brand or FMV, or Pet Pride. What were your results from the cat food.

Dino

Friskies is reasonably priced and has many, many varieties and you can find it at most local foodstores...It comes in dry and wet/canned. It provides all my cat needs and he likes the taste, works for me, should for you...Good Luck!

Cary

Please stay away from grocery store foods. The ingredients are awlful. When you feed a premium food (not Science Diet - nasty food) you dont have to feed as much so the price ends up being close to feeding the cheap foods.

Lauryn

Purina!

Francisca

OMG, i have no clue about that topic

Brant

Alley Cat. $2.50 for a big bag. They love it.

Kareen

Purina Indoor Formula.

Cornell

I feed my cat fancy feast but he also loves 9 lives... and growing up my mother always fed the cats that brand.

Elna

I dont have a cat.

Barbara

Our cats and dog seem to do very well on Purina. Its a very reputable brand, but affordable.

Eloy

My cat gets Fancy Feast (the little cans.) He loves it. I also feed him Friskies Dental Diet dry food.

Colton

Iams, Now they only eat dry food and they are healthy with no weight or urinary problems

Carmel

We feed our cats Fancy Feast soft cat food. They will only eat fished flavored, and they love minced.

Cleotilde

I only use science diet. I have tried other things and have seen a difference. With Science Diet they have good shiny coats and are very healthy. It is a litle more expensive but worth it. I would never buy that crap in the super market.

Coralee

9 Lives

Linette

Purina

Cara

My kitty will only eat Friskies Shredded. Anything else she gives me that look.

Cinderella

My cat has ate Meow Mix for 17 years.

Billye

Purina is good, iams is also very good.

Liz

Nutro. My girl loves the Whiskas pouches of moist food.

Charleen

Purina Cat Chow for indoor catsMy cats seem to love it...of course, eating and sleeping are the high points of their day ;)

Classie

IAMS, as recommended by our Vet.

Angelena

Fancy Feast Gourmet Gold. Its the only dry food my cats will eat, its a bit pricey though. Target has it for $5.74/bag. I dont know how nutritious it is, but my cats love it.

Bethanie

I DONT HAVE A CAT HEHEHE

Kirby

Iams Hairball formula. I have one long haired cat and one short. Both have shiny, silky fur. They like it. Sometimes I give a little wet (canned) for a treat. Mostly just dry though.

Ardella

We buy Science Diet on the advice of our vet. Our last cat had Iams, but on the Science Diet our new kitten is thriving and his coat is shiny. SD being much better! We go to a discount store to get is fav. flavor by the case, Oceanfish for Kittens. Then we also feed the Kitten and/or Indoor Cat formula. He was getting kind of chubby on the dry kitten food, so we cut it back and added Indoor Formula. We had him on cheaper stuff like Whiskahs but the litterbox reeked!!!!! I feel a good quality food is well worth it! We pay $17 for a case of the Science Diet wet food. He still gets a can a day of wet food and here and there a treat of some human-food like turkey or tuna *but not much.*

Felicidad

I havnt a cat.... but thanks for the 2 points

Deborah

Are you getting a kitten or an adult cat? I have a one yr old and a four yr old cat. I feed them Natural choice, and it’s made by Nutro Products. They help w/ shedding, digestive tracks, etc. You can only buy them @ PetSmart or Petco that I know of. If you feed your cat the real cheep stuff he/she will fill up its litter box faster than you can empty it. Not just that its going to be runny, not hard and firm. Considering what type of cat your getting your going to mess that cat up. It’s going to look nasty. The fur will not look shiny or full. It will be shedding all the time and have fur balls. What you put into the cat will result in what the cats appearance will look like, including its general attitude also.

Bradly

I dont feed cats food. I feed cats AS food, to my zombie. LOL Just kidding, my zombie eats table scraps. I know it spoils him but you look into those blank, unfocused eyes and tell him no.

Na

Youre spending alot of money on a cat, unless its a give away and you want to save money buying supermarket food? I dont get it. The cheaper the food, the more fillers like corn and by-products are in it. Your cat will have crappy fur and poop tons, and the smell..whew...I buy Eukanuba...I pay alot for it but it lasts much longer as the cats dont need to eat as much of it to feel full as they do with crap like Purina, Happy Cat..The cheaper the food the cheaper the quality which will affect your cats long term health. If you had a kid, would you serve them McDonalds everyday to save money and time? Why should cats, or any pet for that matter, suffer health wise because of your purse strings..Read the labels if the first ingredient is corn, skip it and find one that states chicken, beef etc

Darcey

Although expensive, science diet works best for my cats. Theyre of Persian-mix and the food worked wonders on the health and sheen of their long fur.

Ardell

I have 2 cats, one outdoor and one indoor. The outdoor cat is 1 1/2 yrs. and gets Purina Cat Chow, and the other is 9 and gets Iams Indoor Hairball formula in the pink bag (its actually for seniors). Both cats have shiny coats and are very healthy. The reason I get two different kinds is because the older cat needs more nutrients than the Purina Senior formula can give her and shes had problems with hairballs before. The Iams is $14 for an 8 lb. bag, but its worth it. The Iams keeps her poop from stinking in the litter box and fills her up better than Cat Chow. You can find Iams at Wal-Mart, PetSmart, and Petco. They have kitten, adult, senior, multi-cat and weight control formulas. P.S. My vet told me not to feed the cats canned food - it will stick to their teeth and rot them like sugar does to a humans teeth. Dry cat food cleans their teeth just fine. And dont buy treats for the cat either - its just added calories that they dont need (from the vet also).

Ellsworth

Purina, indoor formula and also meow mixs hairball control. i feed my 2 cats wet food too but they just yack it up, not fun to clean up
