What is the best brand of commercial canned cat food?

Altha

Im on a limited budget and can only afford cat food sold at the local supermarket. Whats the best brand of commercial canned cat food under these circumstances? Thank you.

I would suggest you look into feeding Natural Balance cat food. Its very good quality at a lower price. Its really not any more expensive than feeding something like Fancy Feast. Its one of the few brands that still have a full 6 oz. in a can. So, ounce for ounce its a really good deal. You wont find this brand at your grocery. I know Petco and Pet Supermarket carry it. They have a locator page on their website where you can find other stores near you: http://www. naturalbalanceinc. com/home/lo…One other thing Id like to point out is that cats that are fed a high quality diet are less likely to develop health issues as they age. We all know that its not cheap to treat a sick cat at the vet. Even though I have a limited budget, I still feed my cats premium food. I think of it as spending a little more now, in order to save A LOT later. Hope this helps!

At my store, its on sale a lot, which helps. Fancy Feast cat food works the best for me. There are a lot of different flavors for your cat to choose from. Its always worked for me!

In Australia, the cheapest canned cat food is usually the home brand generic belonging to the supermarket chain. Sometimes (if youre lucky) the so-called "premium" brands may be on special. My cat couldnt care less what brand the food is, be it the cheap stuff or the rip-off fancy labels -- she eats what shes bloody well given, and shed better not argue about it!!

I honestly dont know what to tell you. You rarely if ever come across a anything but unhealthy cat food in a Walmart or supermarket. Brands like Wellness, Natural Balance, EVO, innova, merrick, eagle pack(eagle pack is actually very affordable compared to others, however you cant get it at the supermarket),and natures variety are my top choices for cats. There are some average grade ones that arent great but at the same time not horrible like fancy feast and pro plan selects. . If your confined to store brands, always stick with Wet foods, no dry food from the grocery store as it has barely a stitch of meat, making it total inappropriate nutrition source for your little meat eater.

All the "supermarket" brands are really not very good. If you want quality food, youll have to spend some money. The cheapest among the quality food is Max Cat or Iams. The better ones are Wellness, Blue Buffalo, Avoderm, Natural Balance.

Well, there are not many healthy cheap canned cat foods out there. Most of them have by-products. California Naturals is a very healthy and affordable canned cat food. Whiskas you can find at Walmart. It comes in bags, and contains no by-products. Our kitten eats California Naturals and Whiskas soft food and Eagle Pack dry food and is as healthy as can be.

Wellness Core, Orijen, Spots Stew, Blue Buffalo. These are all top quality foods. Whiskas is one of the worst foods you can feed your cat. It is FULL of by-products and corn meal which is nothing but a filler. Check out this site. http://www. petfoodratings. net/cattable. h…
