Is it okay for my cat to eat a few bites of dog food?

Abbey

My cat still eats his regular food, but sometimes he eats a few bites out of the dogs bowl. I know that dog food doesnt have the tuarine that cat food does, but Im not worried about that since the cat still eats his own food. Ive read that the pH level of dog food can lead to urinary problems in cats. Is this true? Do I need to worry about his eating a few bites from the dog bowl?

Rolland

IMHO, cat food isnt true

Ivan

Umm i dont think a few bites would do anything harmful, but keep your cat away from the dog food.

Odessa

Its fine. Nothing to worry about.

Coleman

Your cat will be fine. Cat food and dog food are basically the same thing. It shouldnt hurt it at all, what you need to worry about it the size of the dog food so you might want to watch your cat as far as that goes but everything else should be fine.

Danita

Hi, So its abs. fine if your cat eats the dogs food. Just try to put them in different spots in the house and keep yelling at your cat when it goes over to the dog food. If thats not working, take a water spray thing and spray the cat everytime it goes over there. the cat will soon relize its not supposed to be over there.

America

My cat likes to screw with the dog occasionally and eat his food, it has not hurt her yet. The dog is so cute hell go over and lay down at his bowl with his snout over it and will growl at her to keep her away.

Chet

Maybe not a few bites, but I would still be wary.-be happi, live well.

Leonila

Well not really because your cat might soon get addicted to it and it will harm them. They alsomight stop eating cat food. Try to feed like your dog hisdinner then give your cat dinner after your dog finishes. you know what i mean jelly bean?

Cira

A few bites here and there is not a problem, but cat/dog food is quite different because of the nutritional differences between cats and dogs. Your cat does need to primarily eat cat food/
