I use the Nutro brand. You have to get it from a pet store (Petsmart, Petco). I use this brand for my dog and cat. A lot of trainers and breeders use this too. There is a special formula for kittens. There is even a special formula for indoor kittens. The indoor formula will help with their shedding, urine odor, teeth, muscle growth, and much more. It isnt too sugary (so your cat wont be hyper and fat) but they like the taste. I definately recommend it. Hint: usually the brands you find at the Marts (K Mart, Wal*Mart) are not healthy for your cats.

Purina Kitten Chow is an excellent kitten food and comes in small and large bags. This is what I have always used with good results. It can be purchased at Walmart and Kmart at a reasonable cost. Iams and Eukanuba also make an excellent kitten food but it is expensive. It can be purchased at your vets and at pet shops. Walmart also has their own brand of kitten food but I havent used it so cant give you any info on it. Walmart brand pet foods are excellent quality and I do buy their dog food which is just like Pedigree. My dog likes it and is doing very well on it.

Any of the popular brands (Friskies, Purina, Iams, Science Diet) have kitten formulas that will provide all the nutrition a kitten needs. Im not sure what you mean by it needing to last 10 days...all of them will stay fresh for much longer than that (store in a cool dry place, like a cupboard). Dry food is actually best for cats of all ages. Canned food (and people food) should only be given as a treat. Once you find a brand and flavor your kitty likes, stick with it...switching foods, even the flavor of a particular brand, can make your cat a finicky eater.
