What is the best Cat food that is a resonable price? Or what do u use?

Jacques

Ive always used a few different dry foods, FINALLY recently found a wet food that my kitty actually will eat:DRY: Meow Mix (Her Fave CHEAP), Goodlife Recipe, Purina Naturals. All range from $1.50-$6.00 a box/bag. WET: Sheba..Old Formula only, pate-style. New stuff has chunks whole meat, she wont eat it. A bit more expensive (aprox. $1.00/square) this style HARD TO FIND! I bought cases of it when I found it. Whatever you choose, make sure you check the pet recall list 1st-especially if buying from a discount store.

I dont feed cats, I eat them. I heard Purina One is great and adds two years to their life. Well, thats what the commercial says.

Derick

If your cat has weight problems or illness I would recommend Iams. I use Purina cat chow, I dont recommend Purina Indoor, as it has coloring in it. The big bags are probably the cheapest deal in the long run.

Purina One and other Purina foods are good. I dont want to knock any food but Iams made my boys sick with bladder stones. One cat may get it but 3 boys within a short time is suspect. I feed the boys prescription food now. The girls eat Hills Science Diet. It costs more but Vet bills are less. They also eat less food without all the fillers. Watch the dyes, they arent good for cats.

Macy

Purina they have many kinds to choose from and it is a great pirce and my cat loves it

I was using Meow Mix the Kitten mix but hes gonna be a year old this month I think, Im not sure when his birthday is but hes been getting sick... well hes been for awhile so I decided to change is food so I bought him the Purina Naturals. Its in a green bag. I thought that would be good for him, but he got sick again. I dont think its the food, I need to take him to the vet. I also feed him those Meow Mix meat cups... he lllooovvveeesss those! Those dont make him sick. He gets so excited when he knows Im getting one out for him. They have different flavors... and if you wanna try a cup you can get just 1 cup for like.43 cents or maybe alittle more or you can buy the box for like $4-$5.

Pay for premium food and your kitty will be happier and healthier! Wellness Catfood, or Nutro Natural Choice Cat food offer different flavors and are complex carbohydrate free, which is really good for kitties so they can eat lots of rich protein. They also make lots of different flavors of wet catfood cans, which are very important so kitties get the moisture from the food that they also need. Youll find either of these at nearly any specialty pet food store.

You are better off buying a high quality food so your cat remains healthy. Feeding cheap food will not keep your cat healthy, so he/she will get sick once it gets older because the immune system wont be as strong. It will cost you a lot more in vet bills than just buying quality food. A bag of good food costs us like $15 and lasts for two months, now that is pretty cheap. We also buy canned food, a can lasts about 5 days since my cat only eats a bit of it each day. (Id give her more, but she wont eat it.) Costs over a dollar for a can, so it costs us less than $15 a month to feed our cat healthy food. You feed smaller portions of quality food to cats because there is more nutrients in it, so they eat less of it. Some of the best kinds are:Merrick, Natura Innova EVO, Wellness, Felidae, Eagle Pack Holistic Select, Holistic Blend, Orijen, Petcurean Go! Natural, Petcurean Foundations, Petcurean Summit, Natura California Natural, Natura Innova, by Nature, Nutram, Nature’s Variety. Check out their websites to see if they are available at a store near you. Look for foods with high meat content, low grains or grain-free. Avoid foods with by-products and chemical preservatives. Dont buy cat food from the grocery store unless it comes from the organic section, otherwise you are surely getting crappy food. Buy from a pet store that sells premium food. Canned is best, but if your cat doesnt like canned that much or you cant afford an all canned diet, feed a bit of canned and add water to it a couple times per day, put it in the fridge after 30 min though so it doesnt go bad. A can should last a few days or longer. Then leave dry food out all day.

I am currently feeding canned Natural Balance venison green pea. NB is one of the better brands, although its not the very best, and the VGP is higher in carbs than is desirable. But it was the best I could get Poppy to eat, so.....I am in the process of converting both cats to raw. Ive been adding ground meat (which includes organs and bones) to their canned food and theyve been accepting it quite well. My goal is to gradually increase the meat v. canned ratio until they are eating raw alone. The What to feed link is my bible. These are the foods I would choose from. There are other good ones out there, but these have been researched so I dont have to!

I use Purina Cat Chow Indoor Formula. The price is reasonable. Dollar General carries the food and its only $4.25 and about $5.00 at Walmart. My cat really enjoys the food.
