What is a good food for a persian cat?

Kenna

I have a 3 year old persian kitty who is small, only 5 lbs. Right now I feed him Inova. Before that he only had Felidae. But Im hearing that persians systems are fragile. So what types of cat food are good for this kind of kitty. Thanks!

I would check out these groups. The first one in particular mentions discussions of Persian health. Its likely to have lots of good info.

Im not sure about Persians having a fragile digestive system but I highly recommend staying with the high-premium foods like you are feeding. Innova is great. I havent tried Felidae yet. Im glad youre using those great quality foods and Im sure someone can give you more info on your Persian :-).

Food that you can only buy at a veterinarians office, most likely. I know you cant feed them el Cheapo stuff. Ask your vet to be sure.

I am a Persian breeder and I use Nutro Natural Choice. . . all of my babies do great on it and love it. Beautiful coats and no hairballs (with normal grooming)

I have had my cat and previous cat on Iams, Science Diet and then recently just purchased Felidae (by Canidae). He loves it! Normally he wont eat much of anything, not even people food. The company makes both a cat food and a dog food thats very high quality without the fillers and the meat is even hormone/antibiotic free. http://www. canidae. com/After educating myself lately about cat foods and visiting various websites, I decided to give it a shot. I highly recommend you do some research about nutrition and additives in cat foods. =
