The automatic cat feeders I see hold ice bags that only hold for 12 hours. I will be taking my cat on a trip of 2-3 days so how do I keep his canned food. He has a condition that allows only special canned food. He takes meds that only I can give him so I must take him along on the trip. He takes 24 hours to eat a can.

Cat canned food is not refrgerated in store its on the shelf just open one can when he needs it dont open them all or they will spoil if not refrigurated

Get a little lunch bag and some ice packs to start out with. Get the plastic lids at a walmart so after you open the can to keep it covered. As you stop for pit stops drain out the melted ice and get new ice to keep the food cold. Good Luck and have a safe trip!
