I want to recycle the cans from cat foods into gift boxes. But it has that awful smell that wont go away even after several washings with dish soap and boiling water. How do I get rid of ALL that smell? - And yes, I do clean it right after Ive taken the food out. Its not like I let it linger in the can for a day or so.

Mom says soak them in a five gallon pail with a cup of bleach overnightthat should do it

I see you have kids and pets so I would advise soak or spray them with lemon juice : )
