How can i stop my dog from eating out of the litter box and the cat food?

My mom says that we have to keep her in the kitchen becuase she always eats the cat food and "stuff" from the cats littlerbox. How can I get her to stop so that she doesnt have to stay in the kitchen for the rest of her life?
