Any pet food without by-products is a good choice. By-products are the parts of the animals that people dont eat (think chicken feet, beaks, other strange parts). Would you really want your kitten eating those things? Check out Nutro, they have a great line of natural food, and thats the brand I buy for my dog. However, if you dont really care about the by-product issue, Hills Science Diet and Eukanuba/Iams are good also. A little more expensive, but definitely healthier than the kinds of cat chow they sell in the grocery stores.

I have a nine year old male neutered cat and i have been feeding it Meow Mix most of it s life...it wont eat whiskas and its very fat, if ur cats like mine it would be a good choice for your cat unless ur worried about weight problems

I believe that Wysong is by far the best cat food around, but it is expensive and sometimes hard to come by. Most vets offices carry good brands of food. You could ask your vet to reccomend one. Most of the mainstream cheaper brands arent very good for your cat. For the best food in the commercial category, I think that Hills Science Diet is the best.

I feed both my cats Iams. I think the better brand of food then the less health problems you may experience in the future.

I use Iams exclusively, I wouldnt really try to go the cheap route on my animals diet needs less expensive foods tend to have a lot of artificial colorings and additives.
