I have a kitten who is about 2 months old. I also have two other cats who are about 3. They are obviously on cat food, but I have different food for my kitten. He although thinks he should eat their food. He will sometimes eat his kitten food, but seems to prefer their food. Is it okay or should I try and get him to just eat his kitten food?

Not sure why you are feeding them dry, wet beig far healthier, and far more in line with all their natural dets. Feed him kitten food seperately, there is a difference and it is important for his growth.

Its fine, generally. It wont hurt him its just that kitten food has more nutrients for a kitten in particular, more protein and what not. My cat ate dog food for a year without it harming her.(We bought her SO many different foods till we found one she actually liked..)

It has been okay with my kittens, I have always had older cats when I have gotten a kitten an they too also preferred the cat food an no harm was done.

It doesnt effect your kitten. at about 1 month my kittens started eating cat food and they were fine. guess its ok with your kitten too. If your kitten starts eating cat food it probably means that he/she thinks its ready to start eating it. Though my dog still eats baby food lol.
